The station was built in 1983
near to taxation zone in Alexandria to facilitate process of Carrying Oils
and fats from huge carriers with storage capacity amounted 60 thousand tons.
Now storage capacity of the station reached about 72 thousand tons. Holding
Company for Food Industries is working on improving the station in order to
cope with receipting quantities and varieties of oils. The station first
was affiliated to public Sector of Food Industries according to decree no 32
7 in 1984 then turned later to Food Industries Holding Co.
