ECBT was opened in 1987. The
first centre specialized in baking technology in Egypt and middle - east aiming at
training through specialized programs on Baking industry . The centre has a laboratory
to control wheat products like bread , biscuits , cakes , and macaroni. The
centre is a gift presented by French Smix Institution " French wheat Flour
Exporters Union " French grain exporting Association is sharing now in the
training process.
Main activities of ECBT :

employees on balady bread production and European and dride bakeries ,
eastern and western sweets .

Contribute
to the public programs for re-preparing graduated youth before entering
business markets in co - operation with Ministries of Supply and local trade
and Military Forces .

Rehabilitation of employees on laboratory of quality control at affiliation
companies , Milling and baking companies from private sector .

Publishing
all resent about bakery and macaroni production and Offering new
technicalities of those industries through arranging courses and scientific
seminars.

Participating in most experiments and conferences carried out in Egypt to
serve French part in order to improve Egypt ion bakery industry.

Take part
in practical researches and preparing master and doctorate degrees for
employees of affiliated companies and research centers and
universities ( paid serves).

publishing some books concerning Bakeries.

facility studies to construct bakeries and confectioneries.
